KARACHI: The Sindh government has also requested for the deployment of Pak Army in view of the rapidly growing coronavirus cases.
The Sindh government has requested the federal government to deploy troops in the province to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The Sindh government wrote a letter to the federal interior ministry for the deployment of the Army.
In a letter to the federation, the Sindh government has requested for the deployment of troops under the Article 245.
On Saturday, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had said that in the province 4,593 people have died so far due to the global epidemic while a total of 277,592 cases have been reported.
