KARACHI: Sindh Local Government Amendment Act 2013 has been challenged in Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday.
As per details, the applicant stated in his application that the amendment in the act is violation of article 266 under constitution.
It is pertinent to mention here that, Sindh Assembly at its session on January 19 passed Sindh Local Government Amendment Act 2013 with majority.
Under the Act, election for special seats, mayor and deputy mayor will be held through show of hand instead of secret ballot.
