Central leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and senator Aitzaz Ahsan criticised the federal government over ‘targeting the Sindh government and a political party in Karachi.’
Aitzaz Ahsan said that imposition of 90-day remand over accusation of terror charges showed discriminatory behaviour. He claimed that cost of the Nandipur power project reached up to Rs83 billion from Rs23 billion and if the prime minister belonged to PPP than he will immediately accused in corruption case.
Aitzaz while addressing in the Upper House clarified that he was not favouring the corrupt persons but a political party and the provincial government were facing discriminatory actions. The senator added he is now thinking that charges against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) are not true.
He complained against discrimination exhibited by 90-day remand over terrorism charges. He raised question over avoiding to make such move when he was coalition partner of the former president Pervez Musharraf.
