Sindh govt not against extension in Rangers powers: Nisar khuhro

KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister isar Khuhro on Tuesday said that the provincial government was not against the Rangers special powers.

He said that the matter will be sorted within few days. Talking to media at a symposium at Jinnah Post-graduate Medical Centre here, Nisar Khuhro said: “We are not against granting extension in powers to Rangers. It is, however, necessary to take approval from the Sindh Assembly in the matter.”

The Senior Sindh Minister said the Mayor will be from the party that returns with majority. “Now it depends on that party who it deems fit for the coveted slot,” he added.

Commenting on the reshuffling in the Sindh Cabinet, Nisar Khuhro said the change is very much in the control of the provincial government and the party and this sort of change should keep happening in future as well.
