ISLAMABAD: After Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has also decided to resign.
According to sources, the Sindh governor is currently in Islamabad where he had gone to attend a PTI meeting.
They said that the governor of Sindh will send his resignation on his return to Karachi. The family of governor of Sindh is currently residing in Governor House.
It may be recalled that the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman has announced his resignation.
According to sources, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman has said that he will resign from the post of governor as soon as Shehbaz Sharif becomes the prime minister.
On the other hand, the resignation of Punjab Governor Omar Sarfraz is also expected.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to tender resignations from the assemblies.
A meeting of the core committee was held in Bani Gala under the chairmanship of former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan in which the current situation was discussed.

In this regard, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that the change of government was an international regime change operation which took place here. Yesterday all the documents were declassified and sent to the Speaker.
He said that there is a TT case of Rs16 billion against Shehbaz Sharif. “The core committee has asked the prime minister to resign from the assembly and we have decided to resign from the assembly,” he said.
Fawad Chaudhry said that this process would be started from the National Assembly after the election of the prime minister tomorrow.
It may be recalled that the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan was successful in the National Assembly last night after which he is no longer the prime minister of the country. He became the first prime minister of the country to be removed through no-trust motion.
Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated Shah Mehmood Qureshi as its candidate for the prime minister post.
PTI has submitted the nomination papers of Shah Mehmood Qureshi for the post of Leader of the House in the National Assembly Secretariat. Malika Bukhari, Amir Dogar and Zain Qureshi have submitted the nomination papers of Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s four forms have been submitted to the National Assembly Secretariat. Amir Dogar and Ali Muhammad Khan are their endorsers and verifiers.
On the other hand, PML-N president and joint opposition candidate Shehbaz Sharif has submitted nomination papers for the post of Leader of the House.
The National Assembly Secretariat has convened a meeting of the National Assembly on Monday at 2 pm for the election of a new Leader of the House and Shehbaz Sharif is the prime ministerial candidate from the joint opposition.
