Karachi: The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department Sindh has decided to open the offices of Motor Registration Wings, while introducing an online Que Management System to facilitate the visitors to reserve a time-slot prior to their visit of the said offices.
The decision has been taken on the orders of the Home Department that the shops are allowed to be opened and resultantly car showrooms are also opened as ease has been made in lockdown.
Following the policy of social distancing in Covid-19 pandemic, the expected visitors are advised by Sindh Excise and Taxation Department to visit the website http://taxportal.excise.gos.pk and to fill on registration page and confirm one’s identify using SMS verification.
Registered user will be given an appropriate time to visit the office as confirmation message will be sent on registered mobile phone and each registered user may be allowed one visit per day.
Visitors are directed to bring a print out of the confirmation message or SMS while visiting Office of the Motor Registration Wing on given time.
Meanwhile, Sindh Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control & Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said, in a statement issued here on Thursday, that all these measures have been taken to facilitate the tax payers ensuring their protection from Coronavirus.
He also directed the officers of Motor Registration Wings to adopt all safety measures at their respective offices to protect themselves from Coronavirus threat and the visitors as well.
He advised the tax payers to take advantage of the facility, provided by Sindh Excise Department and deposit their due taxes.
