Sindh CM Murad Shah served contempt notice by SC

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued contempt of court notice to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in a suo motu case relating to the losses incurred by the Pakistan Railways.

Hearing the suo motu case here on Thursday, the apex court issued a contempt of court notice to the Sindh chief minister over not implementing the court orders regarding the Karachi Circular railway.

Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed remarked that the work on the circular railway should had  been completed in two months since there was only a brief work to be completed on an overhead bridge. Why did not the FWO start work? he questioned.

The director general of FWO prayed to the court that the had already completed a design,which is still awaiting an approval on the part of Sindh government.

Later, the Supreme Court directed to the Sindh chief minister to reply to the contempt notice in two-week time .
