KARACHI: The Sindh cabinet on Tuesday approved 20 per cent increase in the salaries of government employees and also fixed minimum monthly wage at Rs25,000.
Sindh Government Spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said that no new tax had been imposed in the Rs14 trillion budget to be presented today in the provincial assembly.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will present the Sindh Budget for 2021-22 today in the assembly. Sources claimed that new taxes are expected to be imposed in the budget.
They added that Rs222 billion will be earmarked for Sindh’s development while Rs22 billion will be allocated for Karachi’s uplift schemes.
