Sindh apex committee aims for NAP implementation

Sindh apex committee aimed cent per cent implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) while the provincial authorities expressed satisfactory over ongoing Karachi Operation. The committee also expressed approval to register all NGOs again with the federal government.

Participants of the session agreed to continue action against terrorists and criminals. Sindh home secretary and Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police Ghulam Haider Jamali provided briefing over new wave of target killing in the metropolis.

Sindh information minister Nisar Khoro said that results are coming forth of Karachi Operation which commenced to eliminate target killing and terrorism.

Process commenced for registration of seminaries were also reviewed in the session while the provincial authorities decided to register complete records of all NGOs under NADRA and re-registration of the non-government organisations by the federation. It was also decided to form special security unit to provide security to the Chinese engineers.

The meeting was attended by Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan, Corps Commander Karachi Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar, DG Rangers Maj. Gen. Bilal Akbar, home secretary, IG Sindh Police Ghulam Haider Jamali and various high-level military and political officials.
