ISLAMABAD: Normal life remained crippled in the Kashmir Valley on the 111th consecutive day, today, due to the strike called by joint Hurriyet leadership.
According to Kashmir Media Service, The Valley remains shut since July 9, this year, against the extrajudicial murder of noted freedom-fighter, Burhan Wani, and subsequent killing of civilians due to the use of force on peaceful protests by Indian police and troops.
Shops, business establishments and fuel stations remain closed. Apart from business and tourism, educational institutions including schools and colleges continue to remain shut in the Valley.
The puppet authorities have deployed Indian forces’ personnel in strength at all places and along the main roads to prevent people from staging anti-India demonstrations.
