Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police Mushtaq Sukhera said that slain home minister Colonel retd. Shuja Khanzada sacrificed his life like a brave Pakistani. He added that overall 14 persons lost their lives while 23 sustained critical injuries in ‘apparently’ twin suicide blasts in Attock.
IG Mushtaq Sukhera while talking to reporters during visit to the incident’s site said that it seemed two suicide bombers detonated themselves inside and outside the building. He said that possibilities for involvement of banned outfits cannot be neglected in the incident as many outlawed outfits are still active in the province.
He said that Khanzada’s sacrifice would not go in vain and the country will definitely win war against terrorism.
IG Punjab said that all security institutions would perform their duties as per routine while he ordered to increase pace of search operations across the province.
