THE HAGUE: An unknown gunman opened fire at the Saudi embassy here on Thursday morning.
The Dutch police on its Twitter account said that they received a message just before 6am (5:00 GMT) that shots had been fired at a building in The Hague. No one injured in the attack and attacker had managed to flee from the scene.
They added that several bullet casings were found outside the Saudi embassy building.
The Saudi embassy has so far not issued an official statement on the incident.
The embassy building has sustained sustained 20 bullet holes, the local media said. The police have sealed the crime scene and started investigation.
