At least seven people were killed and more than a dozen sustained wounds on Saturday following a hawker Hunter aircraft crashed into a road that failed to pull up out of a loop, foreign news agency reported.

The incident took place during the Shoreham Airshow continued in English seaside Shoreham-by-Sea town situated on the southeast coast in the United Kingdom (UK), AFP reported.

The military aircraft ploughed into many vehicles on the road, however, it was unclear to say whether the pilot ejected before the plane crash.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAMB) confirmed ‘seven fatalities from the crash at the Shoreham air show today. Thoughts are with the families and loved ones,” the emergency service said on Twitter.

West Sussex Police said one casualty was being treated in hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, while a further 14 were being treated for minor injuries.
