ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Friday asked the candidates and political parties contesting by polls in Shikarpur to end their election campaign 48 hours before the polling date of October 20.
Election Commission spokesman said in a statement that the election campaign in Shikarpur must come to an end at midnight falling between Oct 18 and 19.
Election Commission urged the candidates to avoid violation of rules and warned them dire consequences in case of violating the rules by continuing election campaign before 48 hours of the polling day.
