LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has thanked Broadsheet chief Kaveh Mousavi for formally apologizing.
In a statement on Tuesday, Shehbaz Sharif said that the investigator who probed for 22-year-old had admitted that Nawaz Sharif and his family were innocent.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the investigators admitted that it was all political revenge, 22 years from Musharraf to Niazi was closely scrutinized. Kaveh Mousavi admitted that no evidence of illicit wealth was found. The Broadsheet CEO’s statement is in fact an indictment on the NAB-Niazi nexus.
He further said that millions of dollars and pounds of the nation were wasted on political revenge amid inflation. This money should be recovered from those who were wasting on political revenge.
The Leader of the Opposition said that 40 years of ruthless and rigorous accountability of our family, party and all its members has been done.
Meanwhile, Broadsheet, an asset recovery form, chief Kaveh Mousavi has apologized for the allegations leveled against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
In an interview with Geo News, Broadsheet CEO and former Oxford University associate Kaveh Mousavi said he was ashamed to be part of a two-decade-old campaign to target Nawaz Sharif in the name of accountability.

He said he apologized for the accuracy of the record as the forensic investigation into the two-decade-long broadsheet did not find even the slightest evidence of “one rupee” corruption against Nawaz Sharif or his family.
Mousavi said that as a result of the Broadsheet investigation, there was not a single rupee of corruption, stolen, hidden or undisclosed assets of any member of the family of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
“I got a lot of looted money, but after almost 21 years of investigation, I can say that if anyone speaks against my claim, he is lying,” he said.
Kaveh Mousavi, who negotiated extensively with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), said that there was no doubt that NAB had filed cases against Nawaz Sharif on political grounds and that was the reason why he was seeking apology from Nawaz Sharif today.
