HYDERABAD: The Sindh High Court here on Friday put the Hyderabad police on notice in a petition concerning alleged murder of a young man and a woman in a car parked in a garage of a government employees housing society.
The petitioner Javed Hussain Qadri pleaded that dead bodies of his daughter Benazir Qadri and a young man Mustafa Raza Shaikh were found from a car parked in a garage in a colony in the limits of Hussainabad police on June 17.
The petitioner maintained that postmortem of Shaikh was carried out on the same day of the incident while the body of his daughter was exhumed weeks later for the postmortem.
He claimed that the postmortem reports of both deceased did not specify any cause of death as the family feared both were poisoned to death.
Qadri apprised the court that FIR of the incident was lodged at PS Hussainabad but after initial investigation the police declared the case as A class.
He prayed the court to order the police conduct the inquiry anew in a transparent manner.
The Hyderabad Circuit Bench ordered the DIG Hyderabad, SSP Hyderabad and other police officers cited as respondents in the case to submit reply on the next date of hearing on Nov 8.
