LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri Friday said the ruling family is directly involved in activities that run counter to the national solidarity.
Addressing a press conference here, he demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to answer all allegations he leveled against Sharif Brothers on the floor of National Assembly. He began his press conference, “Do the institutions responsible for national security want to protect Pakistan or not?”
Dr. Qadri said all personnel, Sharif family calls from India with multiple visas are exempted from police verification despite the fact that no foreigner is exempted from police verification, according to law.
Pakistani High Commissioner in New Delhi is bound by order from the rulers and customs officials at Wagah Border are not authorized to check the luggage of Indians hired by Sharif family, he asserted adding at least 300 Indian nationals are currently working in sugar mills of Sharif Brothers.
All these Indian personnel are granted visas enabling them to travel up to Karachi, he added.
He raised the questions, “Are there no capable engineers, technicians and welders to be of any use to Sharif Brothers?”
He said it is not about the Model Town massacre martyrs; instead, it is about the solidarity of Pakistan that he is mobilizing people of Pakistan, adding no one from the federal, Punjab governments or Sharif Brothers officially rebutted his allegations.
He claimed that all these allegations, hence, stand as endorsed as no one from Sharif family will ever venture to contradict these allegations. —INP
