A local court dismissed on Wednesday the plea for pre-arrest bail of Shahid Masood, but the TV anchorperson left the court before he could be arrested.

Special judge central Kamran Basharat Mufti read the decision of the Pakistan State Television’s corruption case. In the proceeding, the Federal Investigation Agency argued against Masood’s pre-arrest bail.

The anchor fled from the court before the decision was read and the FIA team present in the court could not arrest him after the decision was read.

Sources said that the FIA team is conducting raids to arrest the anchor.

Masood was appointed chairman PTV in Pakistan People’s Party government and there are allegations of corruption worth around rupees 33 million against him.
