LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has promised to quit politics if corruption of a single penny was proved during his three tenures.
Addressing a ceremony regarding computerisation of the land record in Lahore, CM Punjab said that the NAB was provided every possible support in investigation into suspicious cases.
Shahbaz said that the NAB has right to investigation of cases in Punjab. However, he added, he would not talk about the facts regarding NAB, adding that self-accountability should continue as corruption has not yet eliminated.
The chief minister said that the NAB was investigating many projects in Punjab for the last few months and his government was cooperating with the NAB.
