Shah defends Imran Khan’s right to challenge the election

KARACHI: Opposition leader in Pakistan’s National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Saturday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan shall not apologise after the Judicial Commission verdict regarding rigging in May 11 polls.

Speaking to media in Islamabad, Shah said that he knew what the verdict of the Judicial Commission will be but PTI chief need not apologise as whatever he did he was his right.

He also opined that if the PTI chief would have taken PPP’s viewpoint int the commission, the results would have been different.

Shah told media that he welcomes new faces in politics adding that the former dictator General Pervez Musharraf should also be made part of the democratic process.
