LAHORE: Shafqat, the accused in the Lahore Motorway gang-rape case has confessed his guilt before the police on Monday.
Sources said that Shafqat has confessed in custody to have raped the woman in Gujjarpura on the Motorway.
Earlier on Sunday, the police on the pointation of arrested Waqar-ul-Hassan had arrested Shafqat from Depalpur.
The accused told the police that he alongwith Abid had spotted the car when they were present on the motorway with an intention of a dacoity.
We first looted the woman and then took her to the bushes along the motorway and raped her, he added.
The Punjab police have been conducting raids for the arrest of accused Abid.
