Bomb blast kills 10 in Peshawar’s Karkhano market

At least 10 people were killed and 25 others wounded in a bomb blast on Tuesday near a security check-post of Khasadar Force situated close to Karkhano market Peshawar.

Most of the deceased include security personnel belonging to Khyber Khasadar Force. The injured have been shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex.

A local media report claimed the blast, which targeted a vehicle of the Khasadar Force, also killed the Assistant Line Officer Nawabshah and president of the Tribal Union of Journalists Mehmoob Shah. Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Fazlullah group claimed responsibility for the attack.

President Mamnoon Hussain, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan, Senator Sirajul Haq and JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch strongly condemned the Peshawar bomb blast. They have expressed sorrow over loss of precious lives in the attack.
