Seven police personnel shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI: At least seven  police personnel shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in Karachi.

According to the details, unidentified armed men targeted the police mobile in Orangi Town number 15. Police sources said that the personnel were deployed on the security duty of polio teams. Eye witnesses said that assailants opened fire on the police party in Bangla Bazar and managed to flee on two motorcycles.

Bodies of the deceased were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the areas and launched investigation.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack and said police personnel’s sacrifices were unforgettable. He said the Nation stand shoulder to shoulder with the security forces against the terrorists. He ordered to arrest the culprits as soon as possible. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah also condemned the attack and asked the IG to submit report. He asked the Sindh IG to take every possible step to detain the culprites.
