Sethi elected as PCB Chairman

Najam Sethi once again has been appointed as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief in the Board of Governors of the meeting in Lahore today (Wednesday).

The special BoG meeting elected the new chairman following the retirement of Shahryar Khan.

The 69-year-old Sethi, who is a renowned journalist, is being credited for success of Pakistan’s own T20 league, which started in United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2016.

Earlier, PCB said in a statement said, “PCB governing board meeting will be held on Wednesday, 9 August 2017 at 11:30 am at National Cricket Academy, Lahore. One point agenda, Election of Chairman PCB.”

Shahryar Khan’s tenure ended earlier with him announcing not to continue for another term.
