Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Najam Sethi has unveiled the World XI squad that is all set for Pakistan tour next month.
PCB Chief while talking to media confirmed that the World XI will be captained by South African Fuf du Plessis.
Fuf will be joined by his team-mates including Hashim Amla, David Miller, Morne Morkel and Imran Tahir.
While other players include, two-time T20 World Cup winning skipper of West Indies Darren Sammy and fellow West Indian Samuel Badree, England’s T20 World Cup winning skipper Paul Collingwood, Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera, three Australian (Tim Paine, George Bailey and en Cutting), Grant Elliot from New Zealand, and Bangladeshi opener Tamim Iqbal.
The World XI will play three T20s in Lahore in September.
Sethi said, “Security team to visit on September 1. Discuss security with Punjab Government.”
