Security situation worsens post 9/11 incident: Chaudhry Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar in a statement to deliver policy statement in the Senate said that security situation turned worsens around the world after 9/11 incident.

Chaudhry Nisar said that 5-6 bomb explosions were routine matter when Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led government came into power.

PML-N government called up All Parties Conference (APC) to fight terrorism, however, envisaging counter plan to get rid of internal security and anti-terrorism were definitely a complicated matter, Nisar said. He added that peaceful solution had been sought through eight-month-long dialogues but found no success.

Nisar said that 2009-2010 were most disastrous years for Pakistan in term of terrorism following dozens of bomb explosions across the country.

The interior minister said that terrorists came under pressure in September but unfortunately selected innocent children of Army Public School Peshawar to make their worst-ever terror target. He said that the incident brought whole nation on same page, whereas, large-scale operation was commenced against terrorists post election in Afghanistan. Nisar said that major achievements were collected during last three months as several terrorists have been killed while others fled from the country.
