Security plan being implemented successfully in Sialkot

SIALKOT: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Dr. Asif Tufail on Friday said the district administration was successfully implementing security plan to ensure law and order in the district during Muharram.

 Presiding over a high level meeting of senior officials of the law enforcing agencies (LEAs) in his office here, he said that security has been further tightened at all 2193 religious places and 270 seminaries, besides the security of 331 mouring processions and 1257 Majalis.

 He said that 50 CCTV cameras had been installed on the routes of Muharram processions. He also revealed that drone cameras coverage was also being ensured during the Muharram processions.

As many as 148 doctors with seven ambulances of Rescue 1122 and 17 other ambulances of different NGOs have also been deputed on emergency services along the Muharram processions in Sialkot district, he added.

Sialkot DPO Dr Abid Khan also spoke on the occasion.

ADCG Sialkot Dr Umer Sher Chatta and senior member of Sialkot District Peace Committee Zafar Malik were also present on the occasion.
