LAHORE: A SECP officer has admitted that he did not write anywhere in his report that money laundering had taken place in the money laundering case against the Shehbaz Sharif family at the Lahore accountability court.
The money laundering reference against Shehbaz Sharif and his family was heard in the accountability court in Lahore in which Shehbaz Sharif did not appear due to political engagements in connection with the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan but Hamza Shehbaz ensured his attendance.

Four NAB witnesses were cross-examined in the court in which NAB witness SECP officer Yasir Bhatti admitted in cross-examination that he did not mention money laundering anywhere in his report.
On the other hand, in a conversation with the media, Hamza Shehbaz said that since the no-confidence motion came to light, Imran Niazi has lost consciousness.
He said that in the past when people used to join PTI, Imran Niazi liked the voice of conscience. Now he has resorted to threats.
The accountability court later adjourned the hearing till April 4 after cross-examination of four NAB witnesses.
On Tuesday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has thanked Broadsheet chief Kaveh Mousavi for formally apologizing.
In a statement on Tuesday, Shehbaz Sharif said that the investigator who probed for 22-year-old had admitted that Nawaz Sharif and his family were innocent.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the investigators admitted that it was all political revenge, 22 years from Musharraf to Niazi was closely scrutinized. Kaveh Mousavi admitted that no evidence of illicit wealth was found. The Broadsheet CEO’s statement is in fact an indictment on the NAB-Niazi nexus.
He further said that millions of dollars and pounds of the nation were wasted on political revenge amid inflation. This money should be recovered from those who were wasting on political revenge.
