Second phase of KCR launched

KARACHI: The Pakistan Railways has launched the second phase of the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR).

In the second phase, the KCR will travel from Orangi Town to Dhabeji covering a distance of 74 kilometers.

The train will daily depart from Orangi Town station at 4:16 PM for City Station and in the morning it will leave City Station at 10:10 for Orangi Town station.

Eight stations and 12 railway crossings have been developed on the track between Orangi Town and City Station.

The KCR train will comprise on five coaches having a capacity of 500 passengers. The fare from Orangi Town to Dhabeji has been fixed at Rs30.
