Schools reopened in China’s Wuhan city

Wuhan: Wuhan on Wednesday welcomed the high school children as the city opened the schools that were closed since January in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.

The schools have been opened with strict precautionery measures. Thermal scanners have been errected at the entrances of the schools.

The students and teachers have been advised to wear face masks. Student have been allocated individual desks spaced a meter apart.

Officials said that all the school staff and students had tests before joining the academic session.

The school premises were also disinfected, they added.

Over all 121 high schools have been opened in the city.

The Chinese education ministry said that the date for the opening of primary and middle schools would be announced later.

Globally, over 250,000 people have so far died from the coronavirus pandemic.
