Supreme Court has voided notification regarding increase in Levy Tax saying that Prime Minister cannot bypass the cabinet here on Thursday.
As per details, three member bench headed by Justice Saqib Nisar conducted the hearing of the petition filed by different textile companies.
SC in its remarks said that Prime Minister cannot issue any Tax act or bill without approval of the cabinet. For any legislation, Cabinet’s approval is required.
In the short order, it is said that PM, secretary and federal ministers are not the government. The federal government has federal ministers and a prime minister.
However no bill or ordinance and can be issued without the approval of the cabinet.
