SC stays execution of three APS convicts

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan stayed the execution of three convicts who were involved in the Army Public School attack.

As per details, the Supreme Court stopped the implementation of death sentence of three convicted in the Army Public School massacre.

The court also sent a notice to the Attorney General to appear on February 16th.

Military Courts had sentenced the three convicts to death for their role in the Army Public School attack on December 16, 2014.

Militants belonging to the TTP had stormed the Army Public School in Peshawar on December 16, 2014. More than 140 people had been killed, among them mostly schoolchildren. Following the incident, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had lifted the moratorium on death penalties.
