ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered re-elections in NA-267 of the National Assembly’s constituency.
The court had reserved its verdict over the petition filed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (MPML-N) MNA Khalid Khan Magsi against his disqualification.
The apex court dismissed PMLN MNA Khalid Magsi appeal and upheld Election Tribunal verdict for re-polling.
Opponent, runner-up independent candidate Abdul Rahim had challenged the election results over alleged rigging in general elections 2013 and the Election Tribunal had disqualified Khalid Magsi.
Khalid Magsi had challenged ET verdict before the Supreme Court.
Khalid Magsi was elected MNA from NA-267 Jhal Magsi as in dependent lawmaker during the May 2013 general elections and later joined ruling party.
