ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has disqualified Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member National Assembly (MNA) Rai Hassan Nawaz and ordered re-election in NA-162 constituency of Sahiwal.
The three member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali conducted the hearing of the case.
The court disposed of Hassan Nawaz’s appeal and ordered re-election in the constituency.
It is pertinent to mention here that Rai Hassan Nawaz had approached the apex court against the election tribunal’s verdict. He was disqualified by the election tribunal for concealing details of his assets.
