State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has maintained discount rate at 6.5 per cent following an announcement monetary policy for the next three months in Karachi.
The announcement was made by Governor SBP Ashraf Wathra regarding monetary policy for the next three months in Karachi here on Saturday.
Wathra said that Pakistan is moving on path towards macro-economic stability. He added that economic growth would be boosted via higher consumption, low interest rate, increased development spendings and budgetary incentives for construction sector during the current fiscal year.
