ISLAMABAD: State Bank of Pakistan has injected about 1.5 trillion rupees into the banking system.
The SBP continued to pump in massive liquidity into the banking system. SBP injected 821.75 billion rupees in the system last week, 667.8 billion rupees on June 26th and another 821.75 billion rupees on last Friday. SBP injected about 1.5 trillion rupees in the system in a seven-day period.
In the June 26 open market operation, the SBP injected 43 billion rupees for a rate of return of 6.5 percent in the four-day contract and another 624.8 billion rupees at 6.51 percent in the seven-day contract.
