Saudi-led coalition forces announced on Saturday a five-day ceasefire commencing from Sunday evening on humanitarian basis over request of exiled president Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, foreign news agency reported.
The announcement was made after emergence of report regarding 80 killings and at least 150 got wounded in an air strike carried out in Taiz city of Yemen against Houthi militia and armed forces loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Recent truce was announced to be effective from tomorrow that would suspend all military activities by the Saudi-led coalition forces on condition to reserve right to respond violations made by the Houthi rebels and pro-Saleh armed forces.
Earlier, a week-long truce was failed earlier this month as Saudi Arabia said that it had not been asked by Hadi to stop the raids being conducted against Houthi rebels in war-torn Yemen.
