Riyadh: Saudi Arabia on Friday announced that the Taraweeh prayers during the coming month of Ramazan and also the Eidul Fitr prayers would be not be allowed to offer at mosques if the coronavirus pandemic continues in the country.
Saudi Grand Mufti Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al El-Sheikh said that due to preventive measures the citizens would not be permitted to offer these prayers at mosques.
On Friday, 518 new confirmed cases were reported in Saudi Arabia.
Globally, over 140,000 people have so far died from the coronavirus.
