RIYADH: The Saudi government has advised its citizens residing in Pakistan and four other countries to return home as soon as possible.
The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), in an advisory, has advised its citizens currently living in Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the Philippines to immediately return their homeland as soon as possible as no flights would be available to them from these countries due to a travel ban.
The advisory has been issued as Saudi Arabia had maintained a travel ban on these countries in the wake of a surge in coronavirus cases in these states.
Earlier on Friday, Saudi Arabia had announced to restore international flight operation from May 17. However, flights to and from 20 countries including Pakistan will remain suspended.
