Saudi Arabia to restore international flights from May 17; ban to continue on Pakistan among 20 countries

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has announced to restore international flight operation from May 17. However, flights to and from 20 countries including Pakistan will remain suspended.

According to Arab media, Saudi Arabia has decided to restore the international flights, which were earlier suspended in the wake of coronavirus,  from May 17. But, the restrictions on 20 countries including Pakistan will continue.

Media reports said that entry to the kingdom will remain suspended for 20 countries which included Pakistan, Argentina, UAE, Germany, the US, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Brazil, Portuguese, the UK, Turkey, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Egypt, India and Japan.

Meanwhile, 12 people had died from the coronavirus in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. The total number of casualties have now reached 6,858 in the kingdom.
