Saudi Arabia confirms first case of Omicron variant

RIYADH: The first case of Omicron variant has been detected in Saudi Arabia.

According to the Arab media report, the Saudi ministry of health said that a passenger coming from North Africa has tested positive for omicron. The patient has been been quarantined.

According to the ministry, a committee is working to deal with the new corona virus while all passengers from abroad are being monitored.
