RIYADH: Saudi Arabia and its alliance announced to commence ground operations against Houthi rebels in strife-torn Yemen, whereas, the militia demanded for immediate ceasefire.
Foreign news agency report said that Saudi-led coalition forces conducted intense air raids in different parts of Yemen including Sana’a, Aden and various other cities to target base camps of Houthi rebels and supporters of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The coalition forces claimed to have prominent achievements by the air bombardment that caused major losses to opponent powers. On the other hand, Houthi leaders demanded immediate ceasefire as the air strikes were causing casualties of civilians.
Moreover, Saudi Arabia and its alliance announced for opening ground assaults in Yemen and asked Houthi rebels to surrender before stormy ground operation.
