Saudi Arabia: 10 mosques closed due to coronavirus cases

RIYADH: The Saudi government has temporarily closed 10 mosques after being reported coronavirus cases.

According to Arab media, the Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs made this decision after the coronavirus cases came to light among the worshipers. Ten mosques in 5 cities including Riyadh, Makkah and Medina have been temporarily closed.

Three of the 10 mosques that were closed have been completely sanitized and reopened.

The Arab media reported that 135 mosques in Saudi Arabia have been closed in recent weeks due to the coronavirus cases, of which 108 were fully sanitized and later reopened.
