ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Monday said Pakistan wanted peace in Afghanistan, which can only be restored through a reconciliation process.
‘It is necessary that the Afghan government and the Afghan Taliban should agree to resume the reconciliation process,’ said talking to media in Islamabad.
The adviser said the United States also supported the reconciliation process. To a question, he said the international community has acknowledged Pakistan’s nuclear command and control system. Sartaj Aziz said we know better that which weapon is necessary for country’s defence.
