Pakistan cricket team head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq has said that the captaincy of Sarfaraz Ahmed was under ‘review’ following the disappointing World Cup campaign.
At a pre-season training camp, the new chief selector made the comments while appreciating the hard work Sarfaraz had put in to improve his fitness ahead of the new season.
Reports suggest that wicketkeeper has lost between seven to nine kilograms weight in a bid to improve his athletic ability.
The 32-year-old Sarfaraz, who has led Pakistan in 13 Test matches to date, of which the team won four and lost eight, currently leads the team in all three formats of the game.
