SRINAGAR:: All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman Syed Ali Gilani has reiterated that the people of Kashmir would safeguard sacrifices of youth by enforcing social boycott of India’s collaborators in the territory.

Syed Ali Gilani in a media interview in Srinagar said, “Kashmiris must understand New Delhi’s conspiracies. As if presence of over 0.7 million troopers is not enough, India is sending 36 companies of additional forces to Kashmir.

This clearly reflects the mindset of India. People at helm of India want to crush the just struggle for right to self-determination with its military might.”

The octogenarian leader said those who believe that change of guard or faces will improve the situation in Kashmir are living in a fool’s  paradise, Kashmir Media Service reported.

He said that puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s visit to the victims’ families under the huge police cover only tantamount to rubbing salt on their wounds.

“To pacify families of the victims has no moral ethics other than ensure to vote bank. Had she has some conscious alive, she should have been resigned to show the solidarity with the oppressed people,” he added.

“Killings of innocent civilians by Indian Army in Kupwara district should serve as eye-opener for Kashmiris. People, who directly or indirectly support collaborators and perpetrators by participating in elections or favoring them, must mend their ways,” he added.

“How can we forget over 0.6 million people who sacrificed their lives since 1947. How can we close our eyes to over 600 martyrs’ graveyards for mere roads, electricity and flyovers? Can we afford to forget our hundreds of youth who are languishing in jails within and outside the territory for years together?” Gilani added.
