SINAI: A Russian passenger aircraft has crashed with 212 passengers on board in desert Sinai of Egypt on Saturday.
Details of the incident are underway as number of casualties and reason of crash could not be yet ascertained.
Sinai is situated between the Mediterranean Sea to the north, and the Red Sea to the south, and is the only part of Egyptian territory located in Asia serving as a land bridge between two continents.
Sinai is one of the coldest provinces in Egypt because of its high altitudes and mountainous topographies. Winter temperatures in some of Sinai’s cities and towns reach −16 °C (3 °F)
