Rulers not to get another chance for NRO: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq on Sunday said that rulers will not get another chance for National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).  

While addressing to JI activists of provincial constituency PP-160 in Mansoora, Sirajul Haq said audit compulsory for current as well as former governments to apply indiscriminate accountability.

He continued, “no one will dare to escape from accountability, if rulers start accountability from themselves.”  The JI leader said rulers shifted the national treasury abroad and put the nation under heavy debt.

Haq paid rich tribute to the martyrs of occupied Kashmir and said, the day must come, when people will get freedom from occupied forces in Kashmir. He urged the government to raise voice in the United Nations over Muslims’ massacre in Indian held Kashmir.

Sirajul Haq said some people were trying to hold another National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) after Panama leaks but no one will get another chance for it and plunderers will have pay each looted penny from national treasury.

JI leader said the slogan of accountability had become a national slogan and rulers will have to go through accountability, either they like it or not.

Sirajul Haq said that many problems will have been resolved, if rulers started accountability process from themselves.

He said nation asked rulers that how and why they shifted national wealth abroad? He said nation will have to get rid of the plunderers elite class and added that powers of status quo turned the lives of common men miserable.
