Rulers’ day of reckoning closer: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq on Thursday said corrupt rulers’ day of reckoning was closer and soon they could be seen in jails.

While talking to media at Lahore railway station on the second day of “Corruption Free Pakistan” train march at Lahore railway station he said JI will not let Panama papers issue vanished.

Sirajul Haq addressed the masses at different railway stations including Lahore, Kot Radha Kishan, Okara, Sahiwal, Chichawatni, Khanewal  Bahawalpur and others.

He said whole nations stood against corruption. The VIP class besieged all the institutions, he said and added that there was dual standards for the rich and the poor in Pakistan. He said Panama papers have exposed the real face of corrupt rulers. The JI leader urged the committee to expedite work on formulations of Terms of References with consensus.

He said they will not accept toothless commission like Abbottabad or Hamoodur Rahman Commission.

JI Naib Ameer Asadullah Bhutto,  Mian Muhammad Aslam, General Secretary Liaqat Balouch, Dr Farid Ahmad Paracha and other leaders were present on the occasion.

Sirajul Haq said the purpose behind “Corruption Free Pakistan” campaign and train march was to transform Pakistan into a state were the rich and the poor could get equal opportunities of health, education and jobs. He said law should be equal for everyone and added that a certain ruling elite had been besieging all the institutes for 69 years.

Haq said corruption and corrupt rulers had destroyed the whole system of the country. He said unequal distribution of resources turned the rich to richer and poor to poorer.
