LAHORE: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the report of the enquiry commission on the Quetta tragedy along with its observations and recommendations had proved the total failure and incompetence of the government and the federal and the provincial government must explain their position to the masses.

He was talking to a delegation from Balochsitan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Mansoora, on Saturday.

The JI Secretary General said that the rule of the constitution and the law, and just and fair distribution of the resources with a sense of responsibility and religious duty, alone could unite the nation and give it strength.

He said that the masses were fully supported the operation Zarbe Azam against terrorism and the NAP as the officers and personnel of the security forces had made valuable sacrifices for this noble cause.

In reply to a question, Liaqat Baloch said that the religious parties were continuously in touch with one another. The religious leaders were conscious that they alone had to prepare a line of action for safeguarding the country’s ideological and cultural foundations, he added.

Referring to India’s designs, he said that India was making full preparations for attacks on all fronts. However, he was sure that India would face destruction and internal anarchy due to the stubbornness of her leadership, and continuous oppression in Kashmir.

He said the Kashmiris struggle would not end without achieving the right of self determination. He urged the United Nations to give up its indifference on Kashmir issue and take necessary steps to solve the issue for regional peace.
